If the weather holds up... I might be filming a couple of friends racing this Saturday. Two twin turbo Fox's. It started out as being in the 70's and PM rain. Now it says 60 degrees and PM rain.
I tried the hammer drill on the concrete posts.... hell no. I ordered a cheap jackhammer last night, and bought a 2 year Allstate warranty on it. Hopefully that's a good choice.
My exhaust went Ok yesterday. Flowmaster forgot to include the Tips in the box so I have to wait for that, also the hangers don't have the bulged tip so it slides around a lot. Probably too much. The previous owner cut off one of the factory hangers off the frame so I had to jerryrig something until I can get the replacement. I found it on Egay for $28. I just hope it's the right part.
The exhaust is going to look stupid (low) for a little while until I take out the Body Lift. I'm not going to take out the body lift until I do the Cats and Manifolds

Think I pretty much finished the tail pipe last night....unless I change it again lol. That squirrel thing was a PITA w/o a old pipe to get the angles and no way to bend it .. Jump the axle, dodge the spare tire, whip around the shock....yep, harassment for sure. 2 butt and 3 bell welds later. All that's left is the TP hanger, tip then paint.
Ordered the tip and paint last night, going to be in the 70's for awhile here...might as well get it done.
Wolvee, you located the muffler hanger on ebay ? Double hanger right ? Dynamax had one at one time..couldn't find one this time around. Had to make one up from rod stock. Really shouldn't need that bulb at the end there where the bushing connects once everything is aligned and weighted. If you're worried about it sliding around, add more to the bend. You know...a little better than a 90....like the shops do lol. They make their own up as they go.
EDIT: Wait, are you saying the PO cut the top double hanger fastened to the bottom of the truck. ? If so, yea, I could see how that would be a bit of a dilemma. Not sure why anyone would cut that up...no reason too. Not sure where you would get one of those if that's the case. Salvage yard or fab something up like you said. I seem to recall that those are bolted in...if I'm remembering right. Gotta go from memory and way back...looking at it now, it's just a rust blob with two partial stick figures to hang a couple bushing on....buts it's a solid blob lol. Anyway, bummer man.
Really wish I could of found a pre-bent tail pipe in 3" after all this lol. Without that 3" cat back, that truck wouldn't have much of a passing gear...the 5four flat spot in the powerband is right there. The factory catted Y takes care of the low end, the 3" cat back helps the high....exactly where it needs it. I was a spectator for that event. Troyer Performance (Mike Troyer, well known tuner back in the day), Dyno tested a Gen 10 Expedition 5.4L w/factory 4 cat w/Magnaflow 3" cat back SUV series kit. Proven hands down to be a 10 hp increase up high w/o affecting low end/part throttle response...an all important 'usable hp upgrade'. If it isn't usable, it's just hype.
Gotta get those weep holes drilled out... keeps slipping my mind. It will fill with condensation quicker than shiii now that it's sealed...specially if it gets used this winter. One in the crossover (which is system sump) and another in back of the muffler.
It barley 40* and raining here...warming up on Friday. Just getting over a chest cold from this wacky weather...looking forward to the warm stuff.
Anyway, if you need a hand Wolvee....

Reason: Hanger clarification.
Would a front stabilizer shock help with keeping the upper ball joints good longer? ..even a little if it keeps the truck from that jerky motion we get with big tires? I looked at my Uppers yesterday and seen a little grease and it made me wonder. I don’t have any upper BJ movement yet, I felt the truck jerk (as normal) when I test drove it yesterday.

on my phone typing like a turd.
Yes....two is better than one though. Well at least that's the way it use to be.
Also assist with wrist wrench....that can be painful over the rough stuff.
