I've tried pissing around with Brave, FF, Edge (Chromium based), Safari, Chromium (BSD version), etc. and always wind up back "home" with Chrome. I remember back in the days before Chrome, the great debate was Firefox vs. Nutscrape.

EDIT: Also, in case you guys weren't aware, there is a somewhat newer version of IE if you need it. I have a security system on one of our buildings that requires IE to view it, so I had to install it on my Surface at work. So if you have something that requires that you use IE, it is available still.

Yes, I am now.

Actually it's been crashing off and on for the last what, - 2 or 3 days maybe.

Not to much of an annoyance, it'll reload tabs and open back up... right a way usually.

Chrome is fine.

I don't think it does. AFAIK, they went out of business a good 15 years ago.

What I don't understand is how AOL is still standing. Probably only because Verizon is the parent company now.

My tin foil hat requires me to:
Firefox with VPN. Turn on containers. Privacy Badger. Ghostery.
Turn on IE Enhanced Security Config.
Use TOR for anything Google or Facebook.
Alcatel Go Flip V phone so car nav can have a connection and hands free.

F Google, F Facebook, F all this tracking stuff.

AOL is still going because Verizon is making $ from their ad business and they reported in 2019 that they were getting $30,000,000 a month from dial up. Looks like Dial up is currently $20/month.
Dial up is probably a bit less every year but I work with people who still use it as it is still the cheapest way to get their email and banking in very rural areas. I would hate to see how slow that is with modern sites though.
They also sell subscription services to virus protection, ID theft insurance, appliance insurance, other crap. All monthly billable.
Selling data too of course. Possibly the data from Verizon but I don't know on that one.
AOL sells Netscape too.

Verizon also bought Yahoo. Kind of a weird business endeavor, but whatever.

Big companies just keep getting bigger by buying the competition.
You know all those travel discounts ads everywhere? Kayak, Priceline, Cheapflights, Bookings.com, etc. Almost, if not all, all are owned by one company.
