jbrew, same ident for over 15 years. Yup same name, same clueless/flawless Joe congenial attitude (wish I could say that about D exterior) when on Twizzlers... my only true friend I expect

Well, that user wasn't cowered by knowledge, so couldn't really gain anything from a defensive attitude. Just not clear yet how to act in a way that provides benefit. If you didn't have the privilege of being raised with it, it can take awhile for some to grasp. Once it clicks, hopefully invokes that higher learning capability that's none existent at the moment lol.
Nah, don't be offended, sides, that was most likley Martain being Martain. Laid it all out didn't he lol
BTW- Indian summer at the moment, I think they said 67* this weekend...last one I imagine.

I even tried to show the guy what the Gotts mod was.... oh well. We led him to the well, but he didn't drink.
Brew, I like the ice pebbles myself. Seems like the air filter holds a bit more, and it runs better.
LOL.... seriously though, it is a common thing to see a bag of ice on top of an intake manifold here at the track... between races.

I was using the ice trick back in 75 when I was running a Maverick then a Comet on the strip. The Edlebrock manifolds and Holley carb would cool quickly with the ice. We also had a trans jack with a flat plate that we would load 4 bags of ice and raise it against the fuel tank. Anything to cool the fuel on a hot day at the track.
I recall that the old 5.0 magazine had that ice trick on their "how to go faster at the track" tips. In fact, for those of you that are into boost, there are a couple of manufacturers of dry ice kits for intercoolers.
