The oil looks good, but it was LOW. It was below the fill line. I have no leaks though. I changed the trans fluid about 30,000 miles ago at 98,000 miles

So what will happen with the pump? it'll quit and I have no go?

Have you filled it to see if the squeak goes away? Often times when you're missing trans fluid with no puddles, your seal between the converter and transfer case is leaking.... and your fluid is disappearing into the transfer case.

Yea that video would probably helped. The upstream cat heat shields can squeak, chirp or make a scraping sound. They are only attached with spot welds. Once one or two break they get noisy. Just something else you might want to look at. There's even a TSB on it from Ford.

But yea, if we could hear it, it would help. If you make a UTube vid, -those upload easy.

I think you mean the tail shaft seal. The converter is on the front of the trans, the transfer case is on the rear. But yeah, a leaking rear seal can cause that. A quick check on the transfer fluid for overfill may be needed here

Sweet ****.... LOL.

Correct - I meant the seal between the transfer case and transmission.

I shouldn't watch TV and type at the same time.

I did fill it up. Nothing changed. Last I checked the transfer case was not over full

It doesn't sound like it's coming from the heat shields. But I will check again, why would they only squeak when the engine is warm?

Expansion. That's when they make noise, when they heat up.
