Default Question for EVERYONE.

Everybody says that mpg is mostly how you drive. So you stop at a redlight and you go to takeoff again, how many Rpm's do you usually turn when accelerating? Whats your mpg also? The reason Im asking is I am hoping to see a substantial difference in the way you drive.

My truck:
4.6l auto with 2wd.
1.5k when Im not in a rush = 18+ mpg for me
2k when Im in a hurry = 15mpg ish
and 2.5k + when im playing around ( outside of town of course )

Do you have stock tires and what gears?

My 99 2wd stock 4.6 with 3.55s I get close to 20 staying under 70 and letting it shift at 2k.
Extended cab. Let me get mad and I'm lucky to see 15...

When the light turns green...my RPM's go between 4000-5000 RPM's till I hit 5 MPH above the speed limit.

If I'm trying to save gas I don't let it get over 2000rpm's. It works for me to cause my "sweet spot" for my exhaust is right at 2000 rpm's that's when it soumds the best IMO. I'm getting about 15-16 with 285/70/17 at's and factory gears which I'm not sure what they are! I need to do some researching on that one.
