Pulled Over
Corruption is everywhere. I think cops get exploited since they are what keep the public safe. I had bad run ins with cops profiling me when I was younger for loud exhaust and tinted windows. He ended up being put under investigation for harassing teens. There are good cops and bad cops. In every profession there are people who are corrupt but since they work in a private sector no one will ever hear about it. I have been pulled over countless times by state troopers searching my vehicles for drugs and alchohal with I don't do either but there reasoning for pulling me over was missing mud flaps not having head lights on at dusk or swerving down the road. City cops have only pulled me over when I have been speeding or in the wrong. I do respect the police where I live even though I don't agree with them all the time. I do think most police are good cops it's just the few corrupt ones that give the rest a bad name. Just like anything anyone does in life. It only takes one bad person to screw it up for everyone.
Anyone who does illegal mods to their truck and bitches about getting a ticket for it is ridiculous. I have illegal tint, and I have yet to be pulled over (knock on wood). However, if I do end up getting a ticket for it I will own up to it because I am completely aware that it is illegal and was aware when I did it.
Whoever said it earlier is right. Anyone who bashes a cop for enforcing the laws is not cool. Laws are made for a reason. Whether you agree with that reason or not is a different story.
As far as the OPs taillights go.. I don't blame him for giving you a ticket. Those are far blacker than most blacked out tails I have seen. I do find it rather strange though that you got it at night, being that it would be seemingly easier to see them at night. Probably pulled you over just as a reason to stop someone late at night in hopes of other infractions..

Not with this truck yet, and I don't see why I would be. With my last full sized pickup I was approached after pulling into my driveway when I lived in town from the town cop wondering about my tint. It was illegal (a county sheriff I know tested it for me) but all I was asked was "Mr. Amy evening, where are you coming from so late?" Work. "OK, have you ever been bothered about your tint? Its looks kinda dark on the front windows." No sir, but if there if it isn't I have some good pictures of it looking the same before I bought it a few weeks ago and if they sold me an illegal vehicle we can take a trip up to the dealer and you can hand them a ticket for it or make them romove it. "Nope, were ok, have a good night." And he drove off and was never bugged about it for the 4 years I owned the truck. If it would have been on some car instead of a diesel truck I think I would have ended up removing it. You could only see there was a person inside, and could barely make out a rear view mirror in daylight from behind. Was really nice in the sun, and great for sleeping in the back seats on road trips. I think I'm gonna do the same thing to this truck. Did have an officer one night at 03:30 get a little nervous one winter when the high idle kicked in while he was talking to me, "WHAT ARE DOING!", nothing, it does it on its own at an idle when its cold out idling. I work 5pm-3am so unless its someone that knows my vehicle I do get pulled over from time to time when they are looking for drunks. Any issue I've had brought up opon them walking to the window is quickly ignored after they figure out what I'm doing on the road in the middle of the night. Even with the tint, hands on the wheel, both drivers side windows rolled down so they can get a quick look, and make sure you tell them where your reaching to get your wallet. Makes them far more compfy and I havn't had a negative experience yet.

I respect cops who approach me with a good attitude. But in my opinion respect is earned if you don't show respect you don't receive respect. I've been pulled over once and I received a ticket 69 in a 60 and I paid it I knew I was speeding had cruise set. What I didn't like was he said 75 in a 60 first with an attitude. Not all cops are bad some are most aren't. That doesn't mean disrespect every cop you see. Had a cop come to a party he was nice " guys are y'all drinking? Ok can I look in this cooler,ok try to quiet down and have a nice night". Not all bad not all good there individuals.
Yea that happens when were camping all the time. One time i was speeding 53 in a 35 and i told the cop i knew i was speeding and respected him. I was in and accident about 6 months before and it was my fault so insurance was still high. And the cop said he doesnt wan my insurance going up any more so he gave me a warning. I was very thankful. But one time when my friends amd i were up north campinge and my buddy were walkin back from the toilets and a ranger walked up to us and started asking us questions. He kept saying that we destroyed someone else camp site and stole someones stuff. If thats not profiling i dunno what is. Yea i was 17 at the time but i respect other people and their stuff.
Only thing I don't understand I'd anything under 35 percent in mississippi is illegal but every state trooper car is blacked out. How is that fair the law can break the law? I don't want my tint that dark but just saying I don't understand it
