Generally speaking, you won't find a "performance" caliper, without going to a big brake kit.

ya I searched a ton.. I saw the big brake kits but way too much cash. I’m waiting on ebc rotors and pads arriving from summit tomorrow, wanted to add a decent caliper as I always try and replace needed repairs with upgrades. Oh well guess I’m stuck with the ford tempo quality calipers lol

Talk to R1 concepts. They are a forum vendor. They may have a less expensive big brake kit.

There is a big brake kit for these and they're pretty common, also a little cheaper vs the crap that most F150's are blessed with. Haven't you searched ?

He did, but said it was "way too much cash".... can't do much to help him here. He's already ordered stock replacement rotors and pads.

Really, wow. Can't help I guess. The parts aren't that much cheaper, but they are indeed cheaper. I have a 98 too.

Ahh well...too late. Asking first has it's benefits.

Do you know what would be different about a "performance" caliper compared to a stock one? Cooling fins? The calipers, master cylinder, booster, rotor and pads all work together, as a system. What, exactly, would the "upgrade" be?
