I have the 4wd Expedition/7700 steel Rotors and Calipers and by mistake, I was once sent 2wd Brembo Rotors for the swap. They did make the larger/thicker 2wd rotors but to my knowledge, they have been discontinued. They don't make a two piece rotor unless you upgrade to the $5k big break kit.

I replaced the stock front flex lines with stainless stoptech lines.just received my ebc rotors and pads and searched a ton for a performance caliper ( one that has more pistons , and offered more bite) the big brake kits were $2500 US plus shipping min for just the front calipers , pads and rotors.i guess everyone has a different version of too much cash lol.i haven’t ordered new stock replacement calipers yet that’s why after a ton of searching I asked you guys .

if you know of a big brake kit that’s a little cheaper than what a stock f150 is blessed with let me know I’ll buy it today .. I think you may be mistaken if not I’ll be stoked

Wilwood are the only ones I know about that are less than the $5k priced just over $2k but their rotors don't fit stock calipers.

Check to see if the Expedition/7700 4 piston calipers fit the 2wd trucks. You get 4 piston calipers and the Rotors are thicker which gives you better braking. Still doesn't save you any weight but they are are heavier duty.

Your thinking of this incorrectly for the application and stopping power, so it would be a waste of explanation and debate. The only improvement needed IF it's about stopping power is HD calipers, larger pistons, spaced rotors, sleeved pins and MOST of all the correct pads. All that is offered for the 150's and yes cheaper, just a little. The F150 is sort of the dividing line. The largest mistake folks make is running higher dollar ceramic pads on a truck... huge mistake and a common one. You should run a GOOD semi metallic and nothing else (car pads vs truck pads). Larger pad surface and more pistons (wilwood/brembo set up are common) are most definitely over kill. Those are special purpose for the most part and not even close to being warranted for these trucks. Once you get away from that will you get a true understanding.

You could have, same and perhaps even better results. Depends on which EBC's you ordered (hard to see in the box from here) as to whether or not they are indeed competitive to OEM spec.

lol I’m thinking incorrectly ? Where in my post do you deduce what I am thinking incorrectly? Must be where I didn’t say I bought stock replacements.😉.i wish we could all get away from our non understanding ways and gain a true understanding , perhaps you could enlighten us to the ultra complex world of disc brakes.. where were you when I built my last 4 builds ? You could have shown me the light and truly delivered me from my confused ways.😂.anyway ... back to reality , thanks for the suggestion on the possibility of r1 improved calipers like I asked for ( an upgraded caliper )

Quick Reply: Performance caliper ?
