You think its funny but you haven't done it how would you know. It doesn't sound hillbilly and most cops won't pull you over.

 

We know you love it. We see it on every muffler/exhaust thread since you've taken your muffler off. Realize when you tell someone to take it off and replace with pipe because it sounds good is a recommendation to modify their truck to be illegal. That's like me telling you to go smoke pot because it makes me feel good. (I don't - making a point).

"Most cops won't pull you over" - all it takes is one having a bad day or you accelerate a little too hard at the wrong time.

Personally I would replace it with a magnaflow for better sound and keeping it legal.

No it really doesn't, glasspacks sound hillbilly. This has a decent rumble and a good sound winding out.

 

Catch a cop on a bad day or if he's bored he will. Not to mention exhaust is an easy excuse to pull someone over for a deuce or drug check

 

I had a flowmaster 40 on my 4.6 not very loud. Im not running no rear cats and no muffeler and it right on the edge of being nice loud and too loud. Some of my freinds complain on the interstate. If you want a cheap way to get a GREAT sound out of a 4.6, simply remove the muffeler. It gives a nice mellow exhaust note louder than the flowmaster. And it just sounds classic. Just some info to help you decide

Also because of the 4 cats on our trucks, removing the muffeler doesn NOT make it sound hillbilly. It has almost a classic muscle car sound imo. Now removing the cats ontop of removing the muffeler makes it loud as hell. I dont think you will be dissappointed

 

It's not THAT loud though. If its not ear splittingly loud cops won't check you.

 

I have had no muffeler and no rear cats for a year and cops have never bothered me

 

Yeah they can't go crawling under ever loud truck they see, if it isn't obnoxious, you won't be messed with.
