I also have this question just haunt been able to get it verified is yours 2wd? Mine is and I want to do a 1.5 inch daystar and from reading around on google searches I believe 285s will be fine but I also think you have to reroute a wiring harness in one of the front wheel wells to avoid rubbing? I hope someone can answer this!

Well I'm not too sure about the 2wd but on the 4wd you can clear em with just a T-bar crank and depending on the off set off you're wheels maybe some minor trimming on front air damn if equipped with one

285s will be fine. just a little advice, if the leveling kit is polyurethane, send it back and get an aluminum one. the poly ones compress over time and it wont be 1.5 inches anymore. if thats at all possible, dont go out and spend another 60 unnessecary bucks

Ditto. I'm running 305/70's with a 2" Daystar level. 2WD. Had to get rims with neg offset to prevent rubbing.

what if i went with the 2inch daystar kit then like above if its going to compress a half inch then it would even out anyway correct? and with the 2inch you still wouldnt need to replace control arms and ball joints right?

Hollabak-Thanks for the compliment on my wheels! For your kind words, I am posting a few links from previous posts where I referenced my headlights. Plenty of info!

i would still get an aluminum one. because its very rarely gonna compress evenly and your gonna be low on one side and not in alignment anymore. you wont need to replace control arms or ball joints for any leveling kit
