Default Replacement headlights

I have a 2005 stx f150. I am looking to replace the factory headlights with black halo lights. What is better - projector or HID or what exactly is the difference if there is a difference? What is the best product out there and where can I get it?

Get back to me guys. Thanks for you help.

Projectors and HID are not mutually exclusive and actually are the opposite.

Projectors are basically the part that holds the bulb and projects the light in a specified way. HID is a type of bulb. Unlike the stock headlights which are halogen that use a filament to create light. HID bulbs utilize a completely different way to create light from electricity. The light output from the same amount of power is much higher in HID than Halogen.

Don't skimp on projectors if you want HID bulbs in your truck. Good projectors are expensive, and worth it. Cheap ones are just that, cheap.

Whatever you do, don't get Spyder brand. I bought the projector lights (not HIDs). They don't fit exactly to your vehicle even though the claim to and the light output is poor. I ended up spending more money on an HID kit just to get the lights the way I want them. Just my opinion.

I have looked around and come up with varying ideas.
I have seen tinted stock lights
I have seen stock light s pulled apart and painted inside
I have seen aftermarket lights w/ projectors and Halo's and led's

I have heard of peeling, cracking, leaking, foging,
I have heard of sealing with silicone.

After thinking and pondering cost, or time spent modifying.

I feel that for my likes I would go with the oem HD lights.
Ford wants 365 per side.
And then I have found a set for 325.00 (for the pair) at tasca
they seem good to me so I ordered a set.

the headlights in the link provided states hid bulbs are not to be used with the headlight pojectors.
im also looking at purchasing these.. but plan on using hids.

anyone use hids with these.. are they just saying as a legal disclaimer like the "OFF ROAD USE ONLY" or are the headlights gonna melt from the heat or something drastic...
