I lossened both bolts enough to slide the plastic all the way through. I cut the plastic big enough that it touched both bolts and stuck out both top and bottom. I then tightened the bolts and hooked up all hoses and plugs I unhooked to get to the egr then tried starting it.

Even though the problem is yet to be found, I'd like to thank you for your help so far. It's helping me avoid the troubleshooting charge at a shop.

No problem, damn. I wonder if it jumped time ? Did you disconnect t the battery for a bit ? Ahh, probably won't matter that much. It should of smoothed out some regardless.

Can you do a short vid, A Utoob quciky perhaps? The way it's running at it's worst and best lol.

I'm not reading through all the pages, but have you checked the compression?

Do you by-chance have a brake controller (third party). If not, that buzzing sound comes around with a weak battery. Make sure your at 11.4 volts. If not disconnect and give it a good charge. (Trickle charge overnight on auto... not manual). A weak battery and it doesn't have to that weak in these things can cause electrical issues on it's

Your Expys central box is on the passenger side correct (fuse block)?

Also have you had the fuel pressure gauge hooked up to it while it's running so horrible? To confirm any type of delivery issues. I realize it smooths out once you give it gas. Well, just Expys had a problem with the fuse block and FPR (FuelPumpRelay) at one time. The passenger side can leak water more the drivers side with these trucks. Yea , I want to know if what the pump is doing during all the coughing and popping I guess.

You didn't replace the O2's by chance did yuh. Yours aren't working at all. That said, it should still run open loop. Unless one of the converters melted together.

As 97badass posted, at some point, that would be a good idea to compression check it.

But yea, check the battery and monitor the fuel pump during abnormal operation.

BTW- What's up with all that brown stuff covering your engine? You wipe your *** with it ?

Understandable...I guess I might get wizzed off at this problem as well.

Specially since my EGR solution failed.

I know the battery is on the old side. I'll just go buy a new one. I planned on that even before the break down. I deleted the codes to see what would reappear and nothing has come back since. Probably because it hasn't run enough?? The fuse box with the starter relay is on the drivers side in mine. Does that make a difference? Should I replace the battery before looking into the relay or should I just pick up a new relay when I get the battery? I'll check fuel pressures and report back.

Lol. It's a combination of gravel roads and the wonderful Nebraska roads in the winter. I've thought about cleaning it but I've heard the coil packs don't like water.
