theoretically yes, thats what I've been doing. But id prefer it to work properly if i can make it happen ya know? And yes twice i have let it sit for 30+ minutes to ensure a full reset.

Seems from what I have found it appears you have a bad light sensor. I looked through the troubleshooting guideline from my ford service manual and it points at 3 things. 1 being a bad headlamp switch, bad multifunction switch or a bad ambien light sensor. THere is the possibility of having a bad relay also.

thank you, I'm going to pull the sensor check it over very good for burn tracks or anything and then look into replacing it, i guess its called an "ambient light sensor" should have a part number on in I hope. Will keep yall updated.

Yes. Looks like you go the wrong year model. I'll try too find the correct part number. That on is the same as the one in my 97.

Its actually called a sunload sensor. Good luck trying to find one.

Wont work. THe bubble would have to be above the dash.

According to ford this is the correct part number for your truck. 13A018. The one you have is what is used in my 97.
