Default hate a thief

moved into a new apartment and my neighbor told me today that while i was taking a nap a guy rode his bike up to my truck, took multiple pictures thru the windows, climbed in the bed and tried to take some threw the back glass, and then rode off into the woods.

called PD to get them to write a report and take pics and what not, incase they stole my truck, for insurance purposes and they refused so now i guess ill have to try to catch the guy myself.

like many of the members here, my truck is my baby. cant stand for people to even touch it. so looks like it will be a long night of sitting and waiting.

anyone else had a situation like this?

Park it somewhere else from where it was cased, take all valuables out of the truck, and maybe take the battery out so it can't be stolen without being towed.

i cleaned it out, and i pulled the battery. i was going to take it to one of buddies house, but then realized everyone that i could call on for a favor is out of town for the holiday.

crazy how people think tho. there are bmws and brand new trucks lifted sitting in the same parking lot. my roommate drives a 02 screw lifted and they didnt bother to even look at it. granted i wash my truck once a week and keep a quick detailer on it so it looks better than most of them here.

still no sign of the guy though.

The douche bag will be back. He wouldn't have done any recon if he didn't intend to come back to try something. I hope you catch the motherf**ker. There's two things you don't mess with, family and your ride. Beat the bastards ***!

set up a trip wire shotgun pointed out the driver door... that will surprise him! and you wont have to loose any sleep! also something i am thinking of doing is hooking up a electric train horn Via relay to my factory horn... so when my alarm goes off the whole damn neighborhood knows it... my alarm doesn't have a shock sensor so it will never go off accidentally only when someone opens the door when she's locked!
