Default Gotts mod impossible

So i bought 3 inch tubing and pvc pipe, opened the hood and fitted the pvc pipe in the hole kn the firewall, but i noticed the tube coming out of the airbox is like 2.5 inches and the rubber tubing goes wayyyy over it, and they do not make a 2.5 inch tubing, so im at a loss for what to do here

You pick up some clamps for the coupler? Slide the filter housing in one end and tighten the clamps. That's it..

Default Wow

The opening from the airbox ks literally like 2 to 2.5 inches, the tube will not fit on it, the more i tighten it the more the hose slips off

Yea, must be impossible then, reinstall the factory components if it's impossible.

I haven't seen a filter housing with a smaller port. Its possible I guess. I'd get a step down coupler if that is in fact the case. I'd bring the housing to the hardware store with you so you know you're buying the right parts.

RIGHT, i bought a 2 inch coupler and it was the same size, but a 3 inch is way too big. But they dont make a 2.5 inch

You must have one of the early trucks with the smaller air cleaner end, or a 4.2 engine. You can change the end with one off a 5.4 or even 4.6 with the bigger snorkel inlet. This is one I am using for my Truck. This one has the big inlet. It comes with the 4.6 or 5.4 modulars.

I am really starting to hate trying to upload pics anymore. You can't control them.. I have 2 of the same and can't drop one. I had reload the first one, then the second won't attach. This is getting really annoying.
