Very True, I don't want to work any harder than I already do, lol. I've also been thinking about buying a GT500 or Cobra next year so I would like to keep the old truck and just make it the reliable tow rig. I know I'll have a loan on that unless I go SN95 again. ..I never learn.

Haha I know I work as hard as I want to right now. A mortage is enough of a load right now. Lol

Can't tell you for sure since nothing is completed, but with cams, heads and all bolt ons I've been told 330ish at the crank. I'll dyno it for ****s and giggles, but I don't expect much without a blower

Im thinking I may just go with a 12cc dish piston with a final CR of 9.4 and run the comp cams XE262H cams to keep the torque down low where I need it.

If you know for sure it's not gonna get boosted why not go with a little higher cr than that? I would want it around the 10.1 range or higher even

I was looking at some 3cc pistons but that puts me at a 10.4 cr and I'm not sure if that is pump gas compatible.

That should be pump gas friendly. Should still be 87 friendly, it's all in the tune. I think coyotes are stock close to 11.1:1, granted that's a different engine tho. Id be more worried about piston to valve clearance than anything.

If I remember correctly Neal made 350 at the crank with an 8.8:1 cr and fox lake heads. I think with a little higher compression and trickflow heads 375-400 may be doable at the crank

I think I could run flat tops and be fine on ptv clearance. The cam I'm wanting to run isn't very aggressive.

Yeah I'm not to sure about the ptv clearance on the 5.4 but if you aren't running an aggressive cam then I think flat tops should be OK. I think Thomas ran flat tops in his 4v
