You could solve all your problems and swap the 5r110, I can get you a 4x4 model right now with 41k miles for $500. Get the software to make it work then you'll never have to worry about trans issues again. Another detailed swap I'd like to see...

Ok guys i have a situation...

As you all may know, i have been running lean on bank 1 since my headgasket replacement back in Sept 2012. Over two years now. P0171 code and thats it. Trucks ran fine for those 2 years with no issues and could never find the cause of the problem.

Fast forward to a few days ago. Start the truck and it idles fine. Start driving it and it stutters under load (half throttle going 45mph or so). It shakes really really bad and has no power. If i press harder into the pedal it will downshift and not shake as bad and continue at speed. It feels like a bad COP but the problem is im not throwing a SINGLE code. Not even my p0171 code that ive had for 2 years. Its been two days and no codes with multiple start ups. How can i trace this demon without a single code and only going off the history or my vehicle? Pulled these codes right before i cleared them.

Might start a new thread with this info and see if i can get some more answers but thought id ask here first.

I have had four of these 10th gen and every truck I've had did the same thing as you have stated. Only one of my trucks would throw a code, the others did have bad cops but I couldn't pinpoint them but I got real good at knowing when a coil was out. I have no advice to trace it as I just replaced all when it happened.

Agreed. 9 times out of 10 it's a coil.

Z7What's truck spotted for sale in Jax. Again... lol. Wonder if it still requires a new idler arm at every oil change?

I'd love one but not for 4000-5000 for an oem transmission

I bet Wayne had 3 times that in the original build. But yeah, given the depreciative factor it seems a little much.
