Thank you very much.

I think it's been said but if you're worried about paying the premium for required higher fuel octane, it sounds like expensive engine modifications are out of the question.

I could do the PI swap no problem, I'm just not in the situation right now to start paying more money for a more premium fuel from now on after the swap. Later down the road I could no problem I'm sure, but not quite right now.

As I figured he was giving me a really high, worst case scenario, estimate at the shop the other day. If I take my 460 out and bring him that, since it's not rusty, it'll only be $3000 for the long block.

Will these work on our trucks? I'm thinking maybe replace the front brake lines with stainless steel lines and was wondering if these would work fine..

Well huh. How long of a story you want?

Had the truck since 98 and it's survived me (so far) and has treated me well. Now it needs cosmetic attention due to corrosion. I'm older, slower and it's just taking a little time to get her back to the way she was.

Side note. Had nieces and nephews here over the holidays. Spent about 2 hours for a couple 2 days working on her. 3 kids the first day, two the second. Had only two gas masks so.. Haven't started the truck in 6 months (the longest it's been down)and the kids wanted to help me work on it sort of thing..irritatingly so lol. Since I'm sort of teased by their parents about my old truck, (- yea, can you believe it!), the plan was to put enough of the truck back together in order to start and run it on jacks stands for awhile....uknow, to lube up the internals.

All we had to do really is reconnect some wiring, - grounds mostly, connect the battery, drive it outside blah blah... Well, - have the best battery made for these trucks on stand by, - (Sears DH Platinum/Odyssey) - 9 year battery. My nine year old nephew attempted to turn her over and we got a loud CLICK! = No way!, That's impossible! Yea , it wasn't a low power click, it was sort of a brick wall click lol.

Crap, Damn, be back in a bit.
