But look at 427/429 crate engines: $7,000-$15,000

Benefits of midplate and throttle body spacers? Some say they help Tq with a ported setup. Is this just all hype

I heard that throttle body spacers just make more noise and whistle under the hood and not much else.

427 is a different, smaller block, but still expensive. The big blocks I've looked at with decent reviews were all $7500+ and I'm hoping to come in around $6k with mine.

Supercharger mid plate spacer is a lot more effective. The volume of additional air being compressed increases power.

That's about all they do.
