Oh okay. So you say that 97/98s have pmr rods, does that mean that if I ever built up my motor that I shouldn't need to change those? And are the flat tops in 97/98 strong enough to handle a decent amount of power?

Nope and nope. N/A they will be ok. Boosted is iffy depending on the aggression level of the tune.

Pi Heads/ Cams and decent tune should net around 275-280 to the wheels. 93 would be a minimum

Would remote tuning be an option or would I need to find a dyno in my area? Is the 93 due to the higher comp or could I retard the timing and make 91 work?

Oh alright. And in regards to your other post, would it be possible to run a PI swap setup with 87 oct?

Its possible, but the tune would be so conservative it really wouldnt be worth the time or energy to do the swap.

Is that in reference to the 87 or 91 octane question?

What would be the best thing to do that would increase power that would still run decent with a 87 tune? And maybe have a 91 or 93 tune as well incase I ever wanted to switch or was in a better position to be able to pay for premium fuel?

You could do it, but the tune would have to real conservative and actually monitor the knock sensor for timing. So it would only be able to pull 16-18* tops at WOT which will kill the power. To give you a idea on 93 with slightly aggressive dynamic compression I run close to 28* timing. On E85 its stays around 32*
