Good deal. What else are you lacking?

I couldnt tell from the pic. If it has 20 bolts holding the pan on its a 4r100 or e40d. If it has 14 its the 4r70. If you have the 5speed its neither.

You can also tell by the tail shaft housings.

You can also tell by how the tranny crossmember is positioned. Contrary to what most people assume: With the bolts in the location pictured (set of holes closer to the front), it is set up to hold the 4R100. The cross-members are the same, only they are rotated. This picture is on the passengers side: front of the truck is to the right.

If I had the 4R70 in the truck, the set of bolts would be on the two holes a couple inches back. The orientation of the crossmember changes the length.

So ibd2328 charliedyal this means that I have the e40OD since my trucks a 97? And I'm guessing they switched from the e4OD to the 4r100 after 98?

Both pics are on passenger side, front of the truck is to the right. I took 2 pics and accidentally uploaded both even though they're of the same thing.

Looks that way. Have never seen one in a 4.6 though. I'm curious to see the bolts on the oil pan. If there are 20, it's def an e40d

If you dont have the f250 LD and its a 97 you most likely have an e40d

All 5.4 in 97 and 98 were mated to a E4OD even if it was in a F250LD. The 4R100 was not available until the 99 model year. Cmanjr you have a E4OD

Oh cool. Thanks. So does that mean they didn't start mating the 5.4 and 4r70 together until 99 as well?
