Need to use the 97 TB elbow and throttle body. Along with the 97 fuel rails and injectors. It will need to be tuned. While its apart might as well add mild cams and do longtube headers It will need a custom tune or it will detonate on 87. As far as reading the PCM via bluetooth, Pruchase a ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII module and TorquePro.

Gearing is up to you 5.4's dont like to rev.. I recently redid the gearing in my truck again because of a failed pinion bearing. I'm running 4.10's. But I also dont have anywhere near a stock truck...

Stock TB is fine. Your going to need custom cams. If your building a should block remeber to get forged NPI pistons. If you dont you will end up with basically a cammed PI engine.. Normal cams will have PTV issues.

I have an 06 F150. My 5.4 is doing just fine however my truck is just leveled and pretty basic. The truck is just about paid off and I will buy a '14 at that point. I want to do a 5.0 coyote swap and a 6in lift. Is the 5.0 coyote swap a good idea?
