I would degree it. You get one chance at getting it right. You wouldn't want to have to tear off everything to correct it if its wrong would you?

It's all stock with barely any difference, line up the dots, if this was a 600hp engine...then I would.

Ok I planned on just lining up the dots and timing marks and calling it good. If cams were different then id probably buy the degree kit and learn how but since its all stock I figured id be cool just slapping them in there

Would 10:1 be acceptable for a dd? What dish would I need to reach a good cr with factory pi heads if all I did was a three way valve job and mild cams?

Are you going to bore it or what? What thickness gaskets? 10:1 would be a great dd

It will be bored but I want to keep it around .20 these blocks dont like much more do they? And I have the gaskets bookmarked at work. For every mm of gasket what do I gain and lose?

I went with a higher compression than orginally planed. I am running 9.4 on forced induction, just have to make sure the tune is spot on.

gaskets are usually .034 to .040 compressed thickness. And no I wouldnt do great than .020 bore because of the coolant holes.

I mean I can calculate whatever you want, just let me know. Are you staying with the PI heads?

I have a ton of let over parts if you guys need any. I have two sets of pi heads, 4 cams, all intake stuff, timing cover studs/bolts, fuel pump and hat, exhuast gaskets, and anything u need made. Been welding on 6xxx aluminum with AC all day.
