Default A better picture of my bumper

This is a better picture of my bumper. I only hand-painted the 3" steel strip in the middle section of the bumper. It was drab grey. Now, it makes the whole bumper look new. I painted the steel section on the back bumper as well. I am also in the process of replacing all of the light bulbs with LED's. The guy I bought it from already upgraded the headlights to blue-white headlight bulbs.

Lightbulb Swapped LED brake lights in today

...because you need to. I also ordered a set of 10 LED bulbs from Amazon, for $19. That's $1.90 each! This size fits the reverse/backup bulbs (2), the front turn signals (2), and the third brake light (1) above the rear windshield. There's five gone. I reckon I will put the rest in my wife's Ford van.

Yeah, you should check on Amazon, before you buy two large size LED lamps at Walmart for $14.

Hang on to those spares. In my experience, you'll probably need them. Cheap LED’s are just that, and the chips tend to start flickering and eventually go put on those inexpensive bulbs. I'll probably go with Sylvania or Phillips when I do my rear lights.

Good tip. I do save my bulbs; I might need them on my tractor or other cars.

I'd love some ideas for cheaper modifications that can be done. I've got my flowmaster installed and new tires since purchasing the truck...now I want some fun stuff. ` I'm going on a beach trip in May and want it to look a little more sexy.

There are dozens of ideas in this thread. You may want to post a pic of your truck so people will know ow what you're working with. Window tint and leveling are two of the first things that come to mind (although, if you're actually in VA as your screen name indicates, then 50% is as dark as you can legally go). Plasti-dip is inexpensive and reversible, and can change the looks. (I did my bumpers in black.)

I was raised in Va but lived in Nc for the past 10 years. I thought my picture was on my profile but I will attach here anyways. The truck does have a lift, and since purchasing it in August I've put new tires and a flowmaster on it. I just need cheaper yet easy projects for now.

I don't think you need to do much of *anything* to that truck! Nice! I'm not sure what constitutes "cheap," but you might consider some Harley/Lightning headlights and corners. Bigger, more aggressive tires would fit the truck well, but you said those are nearly new (and that's not a "cheap" mod!)

I have considered blacked out tail lights and smoky headlights. The tires in that pic are the old one. New tires are slightly larger and way better tread. Like $550 worth of tires a month ago. Just looking for some slight modifications. But headlights and tail lights are a definite in the near future.
