I would go for black led tails, black lightning (not smoked) heads, and remove the door molding.

All my bulbs are LED now
I replaced all of my bulbs inside and out with LED bulbs. Before the bulbs were as bright as, say a Mag Light, but now, it is like an alien invasion! Total cost was $45 or so, (purchased on Amazon Prime) and I still have bulbs left, enough to do another truck or car. The cargo lights make the entire bed glow bright white, and when you open the door, it lights up about 8 feet around the entire truck. You can see me coming from a mile away.

I don't think you need to do much of *anything* to that truck! Nice! I'm not sure what constitutes "cheap," but you might consider some Harley/Lightning headlights and corners. Bigger, more aggressive tires would fit the truck well, but you said those are nearly new (and that's not a "cheap" mod!)

2003 Headlight swap. Got these off Ebay for $180 - haven't seen and like these around here. I like that the projector is the high-beam and it lights up the world like the sun!

1997 ford f150 7pin trailer plug relocation
So, this is a cheap and easy mod that I did in regards to changing the location of the trailer plug, i tow a trailer and a boat around quite often but I got tired of replacing the 7pin plug every year in the spring so I decided to mount it beside my license plate like I noticed a lot of the newer trucks are doing from factory.
I took off my license plate and cut a slot into the metal large enough to take butt end of the plug, I did have to use a dremel and carefully remove some of the plastic ribbing on the plug to get it to fit just right, keep in mind though that you do need to re drill the license plate holes and either screw it on or bolt it on, I went with a bolt on method using nylock nuts.
I did this about 2 years ago and I havent had to replace a plug since but previously I replaced 3 plugs because of where it got mounted, which was under the bumper.
I got the plug as far over as I could and I found that it was skinnier having it sideways as well.
This is what it looks like when looking at it from the rear. if you look on the bottom left under the bumper you will see the remnants of the bracket from the old plug, I dont know exactly why I havent taken it fully off yet, but that happened after I backed into a snow bank to turn around and it caught a piece of ice and ripped out the plug wiring from the plug itself.

That looks like a not-so-bad idea! So you moved the license plate to the right a bit?

Yup, I had to re drill the holes about 1/2in or 3/4in over, I cant remember the actual measurements as its been like this for the last 2 years and havent had to do anything with the plug in terms of replacing it. When you take off the license plate the gap in the bumper behind it is wide enough to fit the back of the plug with a bit of room to spare, also wide enough so that the grinder doesnt mess anything else up.
