Default 4wd problems thread.

Instead of everyone posting there 4wd problems in te different threads post your problems here and save yourself the hastle of not getting any replys and having to bump it to the top 6 times. I fixed my 4x4 problem yesterday and i have done hours and hours of research on the 4wd in these trucks, and there are tonnes of people on here that know even more. It can be a problem that tonnes of people throw money and parts at when it could be an easy fix. Its getting to be winter in many places so lets try and help people get there 4by workin so we are all happy.

.... Im kinda hoping that when your search 4wd problems this comes up first.

Look underneath while someone turns the truck on and flips the switch. Have them drive ahead a few feet and does the front drive shaft move? Thanks for usin the thread i try and respond fairly quickly.

Ok so when i put it in 4x4 the light sometimes comes on and i can hear like a relay in the dash click but no power to the wheels, then when i take it out of 4x4 it is kinda stubborn and the light doesnt turn off. The front drive shaft does spin and i just sprayed th s*** out of the actuator with PB blaster letting that soak it, also unpluged and sprayed the silenoides with electrical cleaner. Havent tested if there is power to them yet cause dont have a mulitimeter right now but just dont really know what else to do. Any sugestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks

My truck is having a problem going into four wheel drive, i can hear the selenoids clicking. My front drive shaft is spinning, i came to the conclusion that it is my front actuator not ingaging fulling sense i can only seeing it move less then half and inch. I was wondering if anyone has replaced the diaphragm in the front actuator? Any advice or know how would be appreciated. Thanks
