It goes in to four wheel drive, like the light comes on and the front drive shaft spins but my axle doesn't lock in, the front tires dont spin. The light just for some reason doesn't turn off unless i turn the truck off and let it sit for like ten minutes then restart it, i havent checked to see if the light just stays on or if the drive shaft still spins, just thought about that while typing but will check tomorrow. Thanks for the help

That happen to mine a few days ago I found out the hard way I was on the beach I started spinning just the rear so I climbed under and pushed the the actuator to lock the hubs and put a wire tie on it till I got home I still need to fix mine

Just wanted to put that up so if any one finds something like that happen they know how to get out

When you had the motor off did you try moving the little triangular pin on the back of your transfercase motor into 4hi and 4 lo cause that would tell you if the motor is bad or something inside the transfer case. Never replace the motor unless you know thats the problem. Most times the motor can be fixed with a few taps of a hammer. Does it slip out of 4hi or just doesnt go in sometimes?
