Default unknown noise

Alright guys, I've been having a unknown noise coming from the front driver side. It sounds like a grinding noise to me. I took it to a shop and they told me "I have never in my life heard that". What could it be? Here's a video, any help will be appreciated.

Sounds like your front end is trying to engage.

Check your vacuum lines, especially on the passenger side where they T off. I had that happen to me and I went to an auto parts store, found the right size T (I think they come in a variety pack) and fixed the lines where's one had disconnected or whatever it was. But def look inside the passenger fender well for the culprit.

If you're truck is a 4x4, it sounds like one of the front auto hubs is trying to engage, or is stuck. There are lots of threads on this issue, with good write-ups on how to diagnose and fix.

While it's doing it at a slower speed, switch it into 4 wheel drive, and see if it stops.

Thanks for the advice, I belive my driver side hub is going bad. Today while driving to school I heard a humming noise. Also the sound only occurs at times, for instance if I'm accelerating it will occur, it will stop once I let off the gas pedal. The sound will occur more when I'm pulling my machinery, but as a said earlier it will come and go and once I get off the gas it will stop and won't do it again until a couple minutes. What else should I replace while I'm getting the hub? I'm buying the hub from rock auto. Thanks in advance for the help. 👍

So I've decided to go ahead and replace both hubs: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...id=536&jpid=11
Also both cv half shafts with: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...nid=602&jpid=3 are these the correct parts I need to replace? I decided to go ahead and replace them since the truck has 223,xxx miles on her. Also I checked under the hood for the 4wd solenoid and I noticed it still had the original one without the rain guard so I'm buying the new one: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...nid=673&jpid=0
What do you guys think?

Those should be fine, but you may not need the hubs and axle shafts.
Your IWE actuators will need replacing before the hubs will. And unless the axles have torn the boots, or are making noise, they are probably fine. The hubs are easy to change, so you can always go back with new ones.
Don't forget to check the vacuum lines and check-valves.
