What's the sellers name? Mine was from like parts_extra or something.

 

I called ford. They said an 05 needs to be programmed? I got the key pad working with my truck. So why would I need it programmed? Anyone know?

They probably just dont have the chip in these keys also probly why they are 20 bucks...gettin mine cut in a little bit ill see what mine does....

 

Yea i contacted them and they said their shipment of keys got water damaged and it was being shipped the next day because their new batch got their that day and offered me a 10% discount.....2 bucks wahooo!! Ha

 

Hmm. Ford said it was gonna be 60 bucks to program mine.

 

They offered to send me a replacement, cool. But, they want me to send the key back to them, that is already cut for my truck. I told them I will not send a cut key for my truck anywhere and to provide me with a refund. I applaud them for offering a replacement for their defective product, it pissed me off to no end they want me to return a copy of my truck key to them that can unlock my truck door.

Yeah this is 2012. If this was 1952 I could trust them!

 

I just programmed my fob first and then had the key cut by a locksmith. Started first and every time. I would say contact the seller and return for a refund or replacement? I don't know if they had a bad batch or what, like previously stated??? Like I said mine has worked well for over a month. I am clueless as to the problem y'all are having?????

 

How did you progrm the fob first, when you have to turn it in the ignition to program it. It says in the directions it has to be cut first. I got mine today and programming the door lock buttons was easy, but after taking it and having it cut at a locksmith and following the 3 key procedure it wont start the truck. Mine is from yourkeylessremote.com. I put a call in to them, so I hope to hear something tomorrow. Also does anyone have the issue were the actuall remote part hits the rubber around the key hole and makes it tough to turn.
