Got a call from them today. They are sending me out a new one with the chip in it. Thay also are sending a prepaid label to send the old one back, no big deal read below. In the meantime the one I ordered for 12.95 shipped arrived today ( ebay link in previous post) swapped the cut key out of the one with no chip to the new one and what do you know it programmed in two seconds. I guess Im going to have a spare when the replacement arrives. Maybe Ill just give it to a buddy who has an F150 too.

Yeah this is 2012. If this was 1952 I could trust them!
I would grind the edges down, and tell them I'm grinding the edges down.

This one is a lot more money but also looks to be an OEM piece?
That on looks much nicer. Wonder if it's worth the extra $20.

I have this key for my truck and it works great. Nice all in one and it's a ford key, you can't beat it for $26.

It doesn't say anything about programming the key or being a Transponder key. Plus, it's not a switchblade/flip style. Thanks for the input, though.

Is the chip already in the fob and all you have to do is get it cut and programmed or did you take the chip out your old fob and switch it to the new one...

My key also didn't have the chip in it but I contacted the seller he said that he is sending me a new one and wants me to send him my key so, I'm gonna take my cut key and put it in the new one he is also paying for me to send it Back so I'm pleased with what it's being done to fix the problem.

FYI I read that these new flip key fobs have a shorter range. Probably not a big deal. Anybody else notice this issue?

Mines better, but I had a pos one to start with. My old one, te alarm just flashed. No honking or anything not even when I Locked it. This one honks after the lock and alarm.
