Default Procomp upgrade kit

well i had the stage 1....and after a little research and talking to some people.....larry helped me out and i got the upgrade kit and now all i need to do is get the add a leaf from procomp but i have 1 question


i have 3in blocks in the back and since i want to add a leaf would i need new u bolts?

doesnt seem like you would, are you then taking out the block and just using the AAL? maybe if you were using them together but if not then i just doesnt seem like you need too. i dont know much about that though.

well in that case it is probably a good idea to get new longer ones . im sure some of these guys who know what they are talking about will chime in. does it look like you have plenty of extra lenght on the ones now?

Just go under and look how much extra length you have on your current bolts compared to how thick the extra leaf is. You'll want at least a 1/2" of thread left after accounting for the leaf.

I am _not_ sure what the official minimum speck is on extra thread (and you may want to check with your Ford dealer), but I think you'd be okay as long as the leaf isn't very thick and the ubolts are re-tightened evenly.

Btw - did you know you're missing your bumpstops?
