Truck running great when I left this morning, went to shop about 10 am and park back wards on a slight hill. Then at 6pm went to leave shop to go home and wow truck was running rough and spottering and while driving if felt like it was missing or something. I got new plugs but old wires, is there a way to test wires, thx or anything else to look at, thx guys

Ok here is what I found out, the scan tool is pulling misfire in 3 & 4 so went to shop and started looking and all plug wholes on pass side full of oil, cleaned out 2 front holes and took out plugs and sure not bad, next is back to and will clean out threads also. I'm hoping valve cover is loose and not screwed up and gonna test coil pack for 3/4 and hope it's just boots. All plugs done few months back....let you know what I find,

Just swap coils to different plugs and see if problem moves with them. Also check fuel filter, Water in tank?

I just did fuel filter few months ago, but I will do it again . I don't think I'm getting misfire but still runs like crap, but I did find a coil pack with a wobbly piece where the wire connects to. So going to get new one, the bad thing here in Canada we get ripped off, 1 new at dealer with small discount 108.99 plus 12% tax. I can get 8 online for 189.99 but need truck for work asap. What are the brands that are good online as I heard stay away from excell. Thx

The oil breaks down the rubber boot on the plug.
Put an new valve cover gasket on and new boots.
you should be good to go.

What yr and engine ? you said old wires, but then said oil down in the holes ?
I'm thinking you have a mod motor with coil on plug.
if that's the case the only way for oil to get down there is from the valve cover.
