Frame shop should be able to weld a patch onto the strong metal.
I'll post an update when I address it.
Honestly, it seems like you came here for people to tell you this is an easy fix and don’t want to hear otherwise. First post you ask if a frame shop can fix and the last post you state they should be able to weld a patch no big deal.

You guys act like you've never seen frame rust. I think it's very common.
You don't junk a truck b/c of one small rust hole. Jesus christ.
The hole is the size of a business card, but it looks huge on a close up zoom.
I will try to take a better video this week.

Looking through the bottom hole, it looks like a hole in the top side. The inboard side is nearly gone as well. It looks like there is very little metal holding the frame together in that section. I dont believe it's safe to drive. I certainly wouldn't want to put a heavy load on it. I would also question what may happen if its put on a frame lift.

With your reply, it’s obvious you’re mad you’re not getting the responses you wanted to hear. First it was the size of of a cell phone, now it’s a business card.

Actually, that frame looks terrible and it’s not a small rust hole. There’s a big difference between frame rust and a hole in the frame. I know that truck wasn’t taken care of because mine is similar age, in a high salt environment in the winter and doesn’t have any holes and is still black.

That amount of rust on a truck its age is neither common or normal. Besides the large hole on the frame section you can clearly see heavy rust on every surface in the pictures, just because you cant jab a screwdriver through other areas does not mean it is still structurally sound. Anyone that knows anything about rust repair knows that it is never localized to the visible holes. No, most wont scrap a truck because of a body rust hole but most will for frame rot as bad is you have pictured. Clearly we are not telling you what you hoped to come here to hear and you're salty about it but I agree with everyone above me, its scrap, I would not put my family in a truck that rotted.

The hole size is only part of it. The rest of the frame where you have to make your welds is too heavily rusted and weak. The repair would only be a strong as the surrounding steel. The truck is junk.If you are so convinced it isn't too bad, why did you make the post and ask for opinions?
BTW- leave Jesus Christ out of it, he has nothing to do with you being too stubborn to realize the truth.
