Header advice
I'm not looking forward to doing them either. I hope I'm as prepared as possible with my custom tunes downloaded and already prepared from PHP. I will also set aside a good day with an assistant to get them done... It's amazing how easy things can get when you have a second set of hands.. When I take the plunge, I think I'm going with the OBX kit, and slicing in 2 magnaflow high flows in place of the provided resonators. I'm gonna keep the Y pipe and run it to my SI\DO magnaflow 12288 muffler and pipes the same.

I also might weld my cats right to the headers. Pictured here are the pacesetters...

If I go X pipe, I'm probably gonna switch to this dual in/out muffler, and keep my rear exit duals.

From personally experience I used to work on honda civic's about 5-6 years ago and 9 times out 10 every time I had someone ask me to put obx parts on there cars I would try to talk them out of it.Due to the fact that in a matter of months they would be cracked or falling off due to Corrosion, rusting out,and very bad welds and over all **** poor quality in there parts but to each's own.
I have the full length PaceSetter headers going into their y-pipe (bought Amazon) and then to Magna flow single to dual exhaust. Im running high flow cats because federal law requires it. The exhaust provided noticeable butt dyno increases. Id suggest not going true dual because it can create more issues than its worth. The best mod for me was gears...went from 3.73 to 4.56.
Most daily drivers, need exhaust equalization. The exhaust coming from the heads has different pressures. Without a totally trick exhaust made specifically in length and diameter for your specific application to each head, you'll never get good results.
Each side of the heads flows differently, not one is exact so a mismatch in exhaust could create daily driving running problems.
When the exhaust exiting equal length headers meets at an intersecting point (yPipe, Xpipe), the exhaust pressure is quazi equalized (not perfect but better than true duals). You'll then want your exhaust at the equalization point to evacuate at a higher velocity so get duals going back. This is the best method for overall HP increases.
I bought the PaceSetter headers and their Y-pipe (customized the Y pipe to accept HF Cats) because they designed it and they know exhaust. I also have the following stainless steel cat back:
You don't have to go fancy with the cat back exhaust (mine came with truck); any good exhaust shop can easily fab one.
I'm very satisfied with the exhaust and sound. Not too much drone noise in the cabin while regular driving, but when I stop on it, it makes a great sound.
PS: If you intend on getting exhaust, please make sure you get a custom tune to take full advantage of the upgrade. Without the tune, you'll see only modest gains. I have the 4.6L with a 6" lift and I'm satisified with the overall performace.
