...where are you driving that you feel the need to have instant access to a pistol? Just what you planning to do with it? Just carry it from point A to point B or are you looking to confront someone? When I carry my glock with me it is either in a under arm holster or locked in it's case in the back of the cab. Hunting rifles are transported in a locked hard case.

why is it any concern to you when, why, or for what reason anybody wants to carry a firearm? peronally I carry a pistol just because I can and so people like you question me.

now that my rant is over I feel this thread is getting very off topic. and I am guilty of it too.

I just wanted to know if anybody had a good place/attachment to conceal a hang gun. I have my concealed carry but usually don't carry. I just wanted to keep a cheap handgun in the truck out of sight in case one day I needed it. Thanks to everyone who helped with my question.

Hold on one second...I've always carried and had my permit to do so (until I moved into this crap state which I'm working on moving out) but if I recall having your concealed permit means it must be "on you and concealed". Having it in the truck in a holster mount....well wouldn't that be in violation of the permit laws?

No arguing....just asking and wondering.

I can not speak for Jersey but Kansas law is if you can not see it, no mater were it is placed it is concealed. So as long as you have a CCW permit then you can conceal it in your truck or on you. If you don't have a CCW then it must be in plain view.

ahhh, thanks for clarifying that. I always had mine on me at all times so I guess I never went deeper into what would and wouldn't be allowed.

Ive got 1 more year in NJ and then headed to OK....I can't freakin wait.

I have to drive through New Orleans. My glock stays in easy reach with a round in the chamber ready to go. Louisiana law says that your vehicle is an extension of your home. You don't need any permit to carry a weapon in your vehicle, concealed or not.

And people question why certain countries of the world hate america. I can"t believe people carry guns around like wallets down there.

No offence, and not Bashing but Real men don"t need guns... Just my 2cents

Get a left handed holster and mount it to the center console between the seat and console. Much safer and more secure than just tucking it somewhere.
