My 05 just left me stranded this morning. Had it towed to the dealership and they told me it was the FPDM Wish I had checked that!!

Anyone know the part number or the price of one of these, so I can find out how much I just cost myself?

 

did mine a couple months ago. dealer wanted 110.00 i bought mine off rockauto for about 60.00 only takes 15 minutes to due but i,m sure they'll hit you for 1 hour labor

 

yeah quoted me $300 I hate to do it but the truck is stranded at the dealership i would have to pay over $100 to get it home( dealership is about 25 miles away) Feel so stupid for not checking this this summer, cost myself a lot of money by being lasy

 

Got mine sitting under my back seat for when it finally goes.

 

God I hope my truck makes it through the weekend lol without leaving me stranded...

I just saw a thread on another site with pics of how bad these things corrode.
Is there any symptoms of it going bad or does the truck just suddenly die? My '06 has 131k and theres a lot of salt on the roads around here.

 

My truck started acting like crap on the way to work...wonder if this is its problem...

 

Very easy to replace. It takes longer to drop then raise the spare tire than it does to change it out.
