We'll they were already charging me $85 for the diagnosis with that the $120 tow $58 part (unknown ship time) = $263 and me changing it in dealership parking lot without correct tools in 10* weather and being vehicleless. Yeah I had dealer do it it sucks but it was not much of an option at the time. Defiantly which I had checked it earlier

Yeah it just died while driving down the road no clue prior

I just changed mine no sign of going bad. Went to a friends house came out a few hours later wouldn't start. $104 from Autozone and took about ten minutes to change. Big thanks to this forum

Would the this cause a severely bad idle? Mine won't go above 25 and will not climb the slightest of grades.

I also had the faint odor of gas with a misfire when cold prior to the rough idol hardly runs condition.

Just ordered mine from Amazon, $53.73 free 2 day shipping with Prime. It states it does not fit my 2004 truck but it is exactly the same as the Dorman part on Rockauto's site.

Should have checked mine sooner! Mine crapped out at the bank. Had to get it towed home. Payed $115 for a new fpdm at Advance Auto. Had it not been for this site I would have dropped even more $$$ for a new fuel pump (thinking that was the problem).

So do these things just go out or do they show any signs they are on their way out? I'm about to head out to the desert for a six month vacation and would like to know I'm leaving the truck in tip top shape for the wife.

I wanted to add she has 107K miles with little to no salt in her life. Mostly southeast lifestyle.

I had no warning that i can recall. I hit a puddle one evening on my way home from work(of course) and it started missing really bad, all my gauges reset themselves and then it shut down.

Replaced mine today and glad I did, it came out in 2 pieces. It was still working but looked like it could fail at any second. I dodged that bullet.
