performance, however I get great mileage out of it as long as I can keep my foot out of it. Most "Economy" tunes from custom tuners are just performance tunes, but you need to keep your foot out of the gas to see the benefit.

If you have a tach put your truck in stock and do some WOT runs and see what the highest RPM it shifts at is. That's an easy way to get a good starting place. If you don't have a tach use the tach on the Edge.

My part throttle acceleration is like wot. Take my edge off and back to normal... Its almost like at 5% throttle the edge tells the computer 75% its quite annoying any ideas?

For anyone with stalling problems you need to clean your throttle body with B12 and clean your MAFS with MAF cleaner. After doing this your idle may seem to run high for a couple of days because the computer was trying to compensate for the low idle. It will fix is self after driving it for a while. The engine will run much smoother fuel economy will improve and your truck will be much happier. Look up how to do it on you tube there are plenty of videos.

If you want a custom level 3 performance mode setting for a 4.6 L here is what I used with great results.

WOT
1-2 RPM: 5100
2-3 rpm: 5100
3-4 rpm: 5000

WOT fuel: 1.6

Shift firm 12, 12, 10

Conv lock 3 -4, lock 4 -6

Timing: 2.25 93 octane only shell or chevron (start at 2, my truck likes this number but just because there is no pinging for me doesn't mean you won't have any.)

Rev limiter 5600

Gear 3.73 (set to your ratio)

Tie size: 2504 (set to your size)

Have fun.

Can these settings be used running 91 octane? That's the highest I can get in my area.

I am pretty sure you can. Except maybe change the timing to 2 for 91 octane.

And upping the shift firmness will make it "jerky" when it shifts thats a performance benefit but you can tone it down if you don't like it.

You may also want to update your Edge if you havent done that in a while.
BassAckwards..this jerky feeling while shift..Do you feel it at the gas pedal?
Cuz I get that grindy feel at gas pedal only when its shifting 2-3 or 3-4 at abt 1900-2000 rpm possibly only on slight uphill. Otherwise it runs great on EDGE (stock) settings. Appreciate.

Just so you guys know I recently switched my timing to 3.0 on lvl 3. All of this really depends on your engine the mods etc. Every engine will respond different. Using 93 octane I have no pinging at +3.0 timing. Does that mean you can do this? No. The only way to tell is to play with it. At 91 octane try 2.0 first. If it doesn't ping at all try 2.25. Anything above that you'll have to be careful on 91. I don't want to say it's safe and you end up with detonation. All I did was go up .25 at a time. I have not gone past 3.0 yet but I might in the near future. Shell gas is the best so far. If you do raise the timing. Don't just WOT FULL REV right away. Start slow normal driving. And over a little time increase your acceleration. If you hear detonation back off and change the timing back immediately. If you don't know what detonation sounds like do not try this at all.
