What are the differences between the fx4 and 4x4 models?

 

FX4 is a package/trim level. 4x4 is an option that you can add to any of the trim levels that don't come with it by default.

 

fx4 is a trim level of a regular 4x4 that comes with the following
5.4 triton
skid plates
3.73 LS rear
different inside cloth, optional leather
optional center shifter
optional 18" fx4 wheels
I'm sure there's more, but those are the biggest

 

I thought the 18"s were a part of the FX4 package? So are the 20"s on my FX4 option optional?

 

The 3.73 isn't standard, I have 3.55 with the OEM 20's on my FX4.

 

i have 18s, leather, sunroof, rear power window, bigger tires than regular 4x4. different gauge cluster and dont forget the sweet sticker!

 

Skid plates, heavy duty shocks, alloy wheels.

 

Where's the extra skid plate at?

there's the 17", the 18" and in 2006 they came out with the 20"
