6 inch lift help!
Yeah..it might actually work with a little modification since it comes with the lower control arms...apparently those are different sizes on the 2wd than the 4wd trucks. The only problem would be the hubs/steering knuckles. The 4wd ones have the hookup for the vacuum lines for the 4wd assembly. I dont know what would happen if you just left them unconnected. I would assume nothing but I just dont know. You would also have to leave the CV half shafts off since you dont have a differential to connect them to. You would have to have just an empty hole where it connects to the axle. I just dont know if anyone has done this. I have been looking on F150online as it has a lot more technical info (my opinion).

Sounds feasible...Im just wondering why no one has had this question before or why no one has tried to do it. What would you be paying for all that? and is it in fact an RCX kit?
and also becuz if your gonna buy a lift you normally buy a new one and for the right truck. 2wd=2wd 4wd=4wd. but it have all the stuff, so i could really bolt all that to mine pretty much swapping out everything. but then just the spacer on top correct?
Wow..400 is pretty sick. If everything does fit then yes...I would just look at it and make sure nothing is bent or starting to rust badly...Are you mechanically inclined at all? If so then I would say go for it and if you run into a problem you can fab something up. Whats the worst that would happen? You buy it, find out something doesnt work, then you just re-sell it. Right? I mean you need to get on a computer and search the hell out of F150online, here, and google and see if you can find anything saying you cant. Otherwise, I think its worth a try. You will need to get rear blocks and shocks and the rear E-brake cable drop bracket unless the kit has those included too

If you got the money I think its worth a shot. I know people have switched out the struts from a 4x4 to a 2wd truck instead of the level kit. (Does the same thing). I read someone wanted to switch the knuckles on F150online but I dont think he got a conclusive answer.
If you lived closer I would help you install it. haha. I am really curious now too. You will def need to create an install thread once you start this that way if this topic comes up in the future they will have a definitive answer. You could also maybe call Ford in the morning and see what they say about the difference in steering knuckles. I am going to look a little more into it right now as well.

Im just thinking what do you do with the hole in the steering knuckles? Just leave it open? You know where you would attach the CV half shaft...I guess you 2wd guys just have an opening in the knuckle...I gotta find some pictures of what yours looks like stock. I know what I did to mine when I installed my lift kit but its going to be different for you.
