Default What model is this??

I've bought a truck unseen (except for a few photos) and other than it being described as a 5.0 from 2011 I have no information till I go and get it in a few days.

I don't have the chassis number yet to check but I think from the photos its an XLT.

Any suggestions if it is that or not as I need to get some insurance quotes.....

Thanks

Unless someone did some gauge cluster and steering wheel button swapping, that’s definitely an XLT. Probably a 301A model at that, since the cluster is optional in that trim level.

Is the VIN not enough to get an insurance quote with?

Those are the base XLT wheels. Pretty safe to say it's an XLT.

I've also just noticed that it it has no middle seat in the front, just a larger cubby / storage box.

Was that optional or standard?

We don't need six seats but would have been handy.

That was optional on the XL, XLT, and Lariat.

Just trying to follow along, but how is the truck your truck now but you don't have the vehicle info?
Given you have no info, you can't insure it anyway since the insurance company won't get enough info from you.

In my experience, my insurance company won't insure a "silver truck". Even if I say "but it's a Lariat -what's it gonna cost me man!?".

Contact your insurance company when the vehicle is officially yours. They will be happy to take your money too.

Just having a little fun with you is all. But seriously, nothing from this thread is going to help you get insurance.

So weirdly, I see the XLT Convenience Package (turn signal mirrors, power pedals, gauge cluster screen, etc.), but I also see the reverse sensing system. If that came as part of the XLT Plus package, then the truck should also have a power rear window, but it doesn't. So either the window was replaced at some point with a solid window (this happened to mine, the solid glass is much cheaper than the power sliding), or the reverse sensing system was added separately, which is also possible as Ford offered it as an aftermarket accessory add-on.

If I can confirm the model my current insurance company can tell me what the cost to change will be if any and if I'm not happy I can then shop about.

That way I can have a policy in place for when I go to collect it and just update them with the vin number
