What model is this??
Just trying to follow along, but how is the truck your truck now but you don't have the vehicle info?
Given you have no info, you can't insure it anyway since the insurance company won't get enough info from you.
In my experience, my insurance company won't insure a "silver truck". Even if I say "but it's a Lariat -what's it gonna cost me man!?".
Contact your insurance company when the vehicle is officially yours. They will be happy to take your money too.
Just having a little fun with you is all. But seriously, nothing from this thread is going to help you get insurance.

I have now bought it unseen and they are currently traveling and before they get back and can give me the vin number I'd like to get a price for insurance

before any money changes hand you better check out the title. not sure where you are located but check with the dmv if the new owner never registered it. I would run a Carfax at the least.
That era had some odd option availability. Like, your console. If you want a jump-seat, I’m very confident that you’ll have no issues finding someone who wants to swap, and maybe even kick a little cash your way, too. I know I would have, because I despise the jump-seats.
I bought a new ‘14 once and had a list of “deal breaker” specs for the dealer. Had to be silver, SC, 5.5 bed, 4x4, 5.0 engine, front bucket seats, towing package (not just a hitch), and floor console. The only one they could find that checked all those boxes, also had leather, electric rear slider, factory spray-in liner, blinker mirrors, and upgraded factory wheels. So they went and got it, and I bought it. Apparently someone up north special ordered it and ended up getting something else.
I was later told, that ‘14 was the only year that leather (and some of those other features) were optional in an XLT, without getting a complete upgraded trim package. Who cares, right? I got everything I wanted, and more for no more money. It was in August, when there was some pretty substantial rebates.

So, got there, looks great.
Some electrical gremlins, dash air vents for example won't blow air - just feet and windscreen, rear view camera not working, sometimes gear indicator lights on and sometimes not.
It had a tiny battery from another car put in it to start and still needed a couple of booster packs so hoping lack of power may have caused the gremlins.
Outside it has a cracked rear lens and one of the front headlights has a small spot on it that actually looks like it melted somehow.
Engine sounds fine, purrs away with no weird noises and it drives fine as well, 4wd switching all works as it should.
Spanner came up on the information part - but I couldn't work out what it was for.
The truck has sat in a garage unused for six years or so. Been started up regularly but never used.
As its not registered here its coming up on a transporter early next week so I'll be able to have a proper look at what the issues are then and start the battle of getting it registered without a heavy hit of duty and VAT.
I need to order a battery for it, can someone confirm the dimensions of the correct one and also +ve terminal side?
Thanks

To be fair, you can't always trust that. I think we had a similar thread here a couple years back with a guy looking at a purchase. Turned out the previous owner had changed out the trim badge for a different trim.
Sat in a garage for six years before his family sold it on....then that guy did nothing with it for 8 months or so and now I'm hopefully getting it.
Registering it involves paying import duty and VAT which should have been done when it came into the UK but wasn't.
So that will all needed to sorted before I can MOT it and register it.....which is going to be problematic as there is zero paperwork with it.
Oh....and it's new home is going to be sunny Scotland where it will be replacing my 2001 2 door XL
