Might as well share it here, Ford sure as hell ain't going to.
Ok, if your reading this and are having issues with the version of sync that is used on this system with the 4.2" screen, see picture below....
The following link is the EXACT 2015 Escape sync version that actually works! v4.6. You install it just like any other sync USB update. If your unfamiliar how to do that, then best leave it alone, this is not a how to tutorial so don't ask. Go to www.syncmyride.com and read up how to update it.

OK Folks, looking to get a number of users here that are having issues with Ford Sync for F-150 2011 through 2013. I have lost my patience and am taking matters into my own hands. Doesn't matter what version, just that you have had & CONTINUE to have issues that prevent you from using what you paid for. Feel free to PM me if you want to speak about this directly.

4.4 - Crashes every other day requiring a fuse pull to reset, Bluetooth connection drops at random, Phone keeps ringing even after you answer, Voice file is corrupt and the lady mispronounces every other word.
4.6 - Fixed everything above, added new EQ.

I finally gave up on the POS SYNC and radio. 3.5 years of dealing with the same problems and Ford doing absolutely nothing to remedy the problem was enough. I ordered everything to swap the 4.3" non nav for a the Meastro K150 and Kenwood deck. Installing this weekend. I don't even use Bluetooth or any of the other SYNC features, I just want a damn radio that works correctly. $40k truck and I still have to spend $600+ to have a radio that works correctly. 
The last few times I went to the syncmyride page it either crashes or when I try to download an update nothing happens. Apparently Fords website is as ****ty as their SYNC service.

I updated my Sync to the v4.6 a few weeks ago. Everything works fine, with one exception. Previously with v4.4 I could use Siri and/or tap the microphone on iPhone and talk to the phone for dictation, etc. I believe it used the mic in the truck to hear me. Now that part doesn't work. It can't hear me at all. It doesn't register any sound into the mic. It works fine for phone conversations, etc...just not for Siri or dictation.
Anyone else having this issue with v4.6?
