When you lock it in place the black part that slides doesn't go all the way in. There's an open slot that it slides on. Insert a screwdriver and pry back. I can make a video if I have time to show you how cheap it is.

I had mine stolen. Now I have the master lock and the pop n lock.

I guess a small town in southern indiana keeps ya sheltered from that kind of stuff. I can't believe someone would up and take a tailgate like that. that's a fear that has never even crossed my mind! Sorry you guys have to deal with idiots like that!

^ yep, you figure todays tailgates can be worth $2,000 with the cameras and steps on them. Takes a thief all of 30 seconds to steal one. It's a huge problem in the big cities. Just last night in my city's crime watch website , the Sheriff's caught some folks stealing tailgates.

A guy I know is an Army recruiter and his was stolen from his F-250 while recruiting at a college in Ohio a few weeks ago. It's $3k for a replacement.
