Audio Issue
I posted this same issue in another forum (focus st), but since the issue is with the f150, thought I should post here.
I have an audio issue. My wife has a 13 F150 with the standard sync system. I finally got around to installing the amp and sub in the truck. We kept the factory radio as the amp has hi-level inputs. The amp is a pioneer and requires you to splice into the speaker wire (rear) and then splice on the rca connectors. Everything works fine...except, when you turn off the car and a few minutes pass you hear a thump as the amp is shutting off. If you lock the car, you will also get a random thump from the sub. I sat in the truck and shut the truck off. I saw the amp power lite go off.....then it came back on and made the noise while it shut off again. Another time the amp stayed on for a good few minutes before anything happened. Sooo.....any ideas?
I had this same setup (sub and amp) in a 4runner before and hooked up the same way with no issues.
Let me know of any ideas...as I am stumped.
Also, I read a lot about the AudioControl L2Ci...would that fix this issue?
Thanks!
