For almost $40 cheaper you almost get the same output, eh?

I used the following parts from Amazon and it cost less than $20. They are very bright. Plus there were enough lights left over to do the front signal mirrors and center console.
I tapped into the passenger side cargo line, the gray/violet wire, so they come on when the inside lights come on.
$14.99 -
HitLights Waterproof LED Flexible Cool White Lighting Strip, SMD3528, 300 LED, 5 Meter or 16 Ft, 24 Watt, 12 Volt
$4.28 -
HitLights LED PCB Connector-2 Conductor, 4pcs, Strip to Strip, Any Angel Turn, For monochrome LED strip

Went to Wallmart today for something totally different, and saw a battery operated LED strip with RF remote for $10. It even included the velcro / double sided tape to mount the remote and light strip. Got it, installed it in 2 minutes, and I have to say it works just great! I will get another one for the other side - then I even have two remotes, one in the bed, right by the tail gate, and one in the cab.
I doubt that I'll have to replace the batteries more than once a year, as I won't use the lights for more than a few minutes every couple weeks or so. Awesome idea to install lights in the bed, especially since I have my Truxedo LoPro closed all the time!

I'm going to add a rocker switch to turn off and on. How exactly do I wire this to my trailer lights, do I splice then run a jumper to my fuse box to have constant power? Thanks.
I did man, but did you splice i take it, the only way to do it?
"Connection made down by the spare tire pulling power from the trailer plug + & - white ground and orange is hot."
what do you mean orange is hot? all know is pos and neg, lol.
