How do you secure it? Where do you store it? And doesn't it leak everywhere?

Don't bottle jacks only provide a small amount of lift? I looked at multiple models and none of them seem like they would work with the height of the truck and the suspension travel.

That's a terrible experience to say the least. Knock wood, I haven't had a flat tire on my personal vehicles in almost 20 years. I couldn't even tell you what type of jack my last four vehicles had. My company vehicles, however, I have had a flat on every one. The telescoping jack that Dodge provides for their one ton trucks leaves much to be desired. On a flat, safe surface I have had them nearly topple over almost every time. I wonder why auto manufacturers cheap out on such an important item. These trucks are heavy!

Some have a fair amount of stroke as they are multiple stage type.

Just a final update, received a call from the parts department and they told me to come in yesterday and pick up my new jack. Wandered in, they took the old one and gave me the new one and I was on my way.

No muss, no fuss.

However it was funny to see the salesmen giving me the "oh crap" looks as I wandered thru the show room by the shelbys and HD F150s carrying a heavy piece of iron....

Regards,

NS

Glad it worked out. Hopefully you never need it again, or at the very least it proves more sturdy than the last!
