Did you remember to restart your iPhone after removing SYNC from your list of Bluetooth devices and removing your iPhone from SYNC?

I've just given up. I've tried all the "fixes" but it still randomly drops the bluetooth connection. So I've just turned off the bluetooth. Seems like a waste to have the technology but not be able to use it, but the aggrivation of trying to make it work isn't worth it any more.

Maybe either Ford will update Sync again (since it says I'm current and the last update was in 2010), or Apple with fix what ever they screwed up with the next iOS 8.whatever.

I've gone back to just using the phone manually if I need to.

After reading all of the posts I decided that my 2014 XLT without the MFT should support the text messages with my iPhone 5. I deleted the previously paired Sync and phone, then repaired the two, clicked on my phones sync in the Bluetooth and turned notifications on. Works great. Thanks to all.

I upgraded my Iphone 5s to iOS 8.1 and now its back working. Doesn't drop the bluetooth any more and I can make calls through sync and have it understand the contact I'm trying to call.

Mine last night kept going to my wife's even though mine was set to priority and still couldn't figure out how to swap it. Then today after an hour of just me in the truck. Hit the steering wheel button and said no Bluetooth device found and then it connected my phone. I'm about to snap the phone in half and rip the sync out. The phones been giving me fits on eBay facebook Safari apps closing on their own. Never had problems until IOS8 launched

I had no idea my truck would do this, followed the procedures and deleted everything and reset everything, re paired and re set again then it worked.
