Engine Cover
Here is an option to those who do NOT want to move or modify hoses and still have some of the appearance of the Plenum cover. I repeat: No hoses were harmed during this process. The cut is obviously more dramatic, the cover did experience some harm but for me it works. ALL i really cared about was the 5.0 badging anyway. I considered the CAI option but steered away. This truck is brand new to me, 5 months old and 2,500 miles. She is still learning to walk and has ONLY been rained on twice. Needless to say, SHE is my baby and my pride. I have to give a shout out to zrx12mike for his advice and help for without him I would not have been able to make the decsion to go in the direction I went. Let me know what you think because to me this is what this forum is ALL about!!
I agree they pt the engine cover on the ecoboost! Why leave the 5.0 looking so tacky without any engine cover is by me, other than to be cheap!!! Kinda crappy on Fords part...

May want to rethink my installation.
I appreciate the comments and support. I was a little nervous about the response due to the amount that I did cut off. I will take some photos of that portion too. The pictures posted now don't even show the portion cut from the sides. I used blue painter's masking tape to give me a reference point to cut down the length to shorten the sides. The sides were rubbing on some wires below the fuel rails. When I cut that off it allowed the cover to sit right into the rubber gromets.
