I know what your talking about from looking at a couple pictures.
But could you still post better detail pictures for me.

So a 2015 mustang engine cover should snap right in place on a 2015 f150 without changing the air intake. Here is a pic of 2015
Koolponycar That is the style of engine cover I bought. Did you have to move any heater hoses? It is looking like I will have to on my 2013. Can you post a pic with yours off so I can compare a couple of things?

Have you looked at the Rousch CAI? That is most likely where I'm headed. The intake tube is a better fit for the cover (looks like).

Keep it going!

My 2014 stx 5.0 and 2016 covers I just finished....

Sorry for reviving a SUPER old thread but, I just ordered the parts to get this done on my truck and I was wondering (for those that have done this) if you have to drain the coolant first or can you re-route the upper heater hoses without worrying about that? I went the the whole thread and didn't see anything mentioned.

Thanks!

You may be able to but I think you will have a mess. I drained mine down first. You may be able to pull one and point it down into a bucket , not sure if that would work.

Thank you sir! I need to flush my coolant anyway so maybe I'll just kill two birds with one stone when I start digging in.

Sorry, late night posting has never worked out well for me...

You need for a 2013:
Enginecover
Aftermarket intake
4x Connectors Gates #28505

4x Clamps Gates #32929

3/4" heaterhose (35" on passenger side, 37" on drivers side)
3/8"(I think) vacuum hose
Flip the vacuum line coming out of the manifold

I have a enginecover and intake for sale...Also have dimensions (length and angle between connectors) for the heater hoses, might even have enough heaterhose for one of them.
So I’ve been to 3 different OReillys and an autozone and cannot find 3/8 inch vacuum hose. They don’t sell it in pre-pack or by the foot. 5/16 is as close as I can get. What was everyone using for the additional hose? I can easily find 3/8 in fuel hose but not vacuum hose.

Also, is this hose used to come off the intake tube and extend down after flipping the vacuum line coming out of the manifold?

Finally got er done... just before winter sets in here in lovely MN. Will be painting the coil covers and runners on the plenum cover Torch Red next spring.

Although this forum makes my wallet lighter, I'm thankful for the wealth of information!

I bought the 3 pc cover set 2 years ago. Set them in place, saw that mods were needed to make them fit. It’s on my list. I haven’t found a DIY how to. My 150 is 3019. Any help is appreciated.
